What to Expect on a Kolkata Food Walk
Our culinary walks focus on Kolkata's food districts and market lanes, where each stop adds a different layer to the city's everyday food culture. You can expect a guided route with confirmed tastings, local stories, and a pace that leaves room to notice what is happening around you.
Tours are scheduled on selected days with departure windows in the late morning and late afternoon. Booking is reservation-based, and we ask for dietary information at least 48 hours in advance so the route and tastings can be reviewed before the experience begins.
Small-group tasting routes with clear planning and local context.
City Story designs market and neighborhood food tours around conversation, tasting, and practical details.
Group sizes stay small, with private culinary routes also available for guests who want a more focused experience. Depending on the route, the walk may include four to six tastings and usually lasts about three hours.
We do not promise access to every venue or market area, and route suitability should be confirmed for each guest when needed. Allergen-free food cannot be guaranteed, but we do review dietary requests carefully and use the information provided to plan responsibly.
